If you’re looking for some values-based stories for your class, we recommend the “Stories from the Storyteller” animated stories on the YouTube channel of former NFL fullback and author Jonathan Evans.
The animated videos are semi-autobiographical, and follows the Evans family as they go on everyday adventures and learn life lessons. The five Evans children discover the truths of the Bible and the teachings of Jesus in a series of fun stories posted to Evans’ YouTube channel.
Every episode is based on a specific verse or parable, making the series a nice addition to your faith-based curriculum.
Jonathan Evans, a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary, is an author and speaker on issues of faith. Under the banner of Generate Nation, Evans speaks at churches and conferences nationwide to raise the next generation of Christian leaders. He also serves as the chaplain of the Dallas Cowboys and the co-chaplain of the Dallas Mavericks. He also ministers with his father, Dr. Tony Evans of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship.
This first episode features a story based on the parable of the Prodigal Son, when the Evans kids visit a theme park and learn a valuable lesson.
New episodes are available on YouTube for a limited time, and it isn’t clear if episodes will be available elsewhere.
