PBS LearningMedia, which features a large archive of online educational resources, offers a number of lessons and videos for Hispanic Heritage Month.

Among the resources are lessons that explore how Hispanics and Latinos shape and define modern-day America. The resources can be shared to Google Classroom.

Latino Americans Share Their Experiences. Playwright Lin-Manuel Miranda, Actor Judy Reyes, and Astronaut José Hernández discuss their careers and life experiences. These interactive lessons are suitable for grades 6-12. Click here to view the lesson.

SciGirls: Alma Stephanie Tapia. – Tapia is a Metallurgical and Materials Engineer at the NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. In this video, she discusses her life (including her immigrant parents) and her work on the spacesuits for NASA’s astronauts.
