With so many digital services out there, it’s hard for many teachers to realize which ones could actually make their work easier. So let’s talk about OneDrive.
OneDrive, a service provided by Microsoft, is encrypted online storage for files. It is a great way for teachers to store files that can be accessed anywhere, from any device. The two videos below break down the basics of the service. There’s one video for Windows users, and one video for Mac users.
Files can be accessed from phones, tablets, laptops, and desktops, regardless of where you are. That makes it easy for teachers to work on files at school or home. You can even work on them even if you aren’t online, and share the files with other individuals.
Note that if you use a public computer at your school to access files, do not save your password to the device.
Basic storage plans with OneDrive are free, and can store up to 5 GB of files. Paid plans provide more storage and integration with Microsoft Office.
