Use this idea to help your students learn to work well with others. Each Monday divide the class into pairs, or buddies. Rearrange seating so buddies can sit beside each other. Then have each twosome work together during the weeks on tasks such as the following:
- Read orally to each other.
- Work together to solve a math problem.
- Check each other’s assignment books.
- Practice spelling words together.
Change buddies each week so that every child has the chance to partner with each of his/her classmates.
